IgG Epitope Peptides That Bind Rheumatoid Factor And Methods Of Use Thereof
WARF: P220084US02

Inventors: Miriam Shelef

The Invention
The UW researcher identified IgG sequences that bind Rheumatoid Factors (RFs) involved in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and/or COVID-19. These peptides could be used as diagnostic reagents to monitor the presence of RFs in the serum of people at risk of developing RA to slow disease progression. These peptides could also be used to isolate or create RFs that could improve the outcome of COVID-19 patients. Here are the list of IgG peptides identified and characterized by the inventor involved in RA: LAPSSKSTSGGTAALGC LAPSSJSTSGGTAALGC TYICNVNHKPSNTKVDKKVEPKSC TYICNVNHJPSNTJVDJJVEPJSC VHNAKTKPREEQYNSTYRVVSV VHNAKTKPBEEQYNSTYBVVSV VHNAJTJPREEQYNSTYRVVSV VHNAJTJPBEEQYNSTYBVVSV YKCKVSNKALPAP YJCJVSNJALPAP ISKAKGQPREPQVYTLPPSRDEL ISJAJGQPREPQVYTLPPSRDEL ISKAKGQPBEPQVYTLPPSBDEL ISJAJGQPBEPQVYTLPPSBDEL LYSKLTVDKSRWQQGNVFS-kBIOTIN LYSKLTVDKSBWQQGNVFS-kBIOTIN LYSJLTVDJSRWQQGNVFS LYSJLTVDJSBWQQGNVFS DKTHTCPPCPAPELLG For COVID-19: KDTLMISRTPEVTCVV RDELTKNQVSLTCLVK
